1961年出生,博士,教授。1987年毕业于上海医科大学公共卫生学院,1992年获美国霍普金斯大学预防医学硕士学位,1996年获美国霍普金斯大学公共卫生学院预防医学博士学位。1997-2000年在美国马利兰州大学医学院担任助理教授,并在美国霍普金斯大学公共卫生学院担任兼职助理教授,2000年至今任美国威克森林大学医学院副教授/终身教授,进行遗传流行病学,个体化医学的研究。目前作为首席科学家,担任6个美国国立医学科学院课题。共发表了180篇SCI论文,包括多篇新英格兰医学杂志,自然遗传杂志,科学杂志。2010年作为“千人计划”,引进复旦大学,组建复旦-文安德遗传流行病学研究中心并担任中心主任。
研究方向:
主要从事医学分子遗传学和遗传流行病学研究,利用全基因组关联分析的工具,寻找癌症易感基因,将其研究成果转化为临床应用,包括:疾病诊断、筛选和预防。
